Vitamin B1 – Thiamin

Vitamin B1 is known as thiamin. Thiamin is essential for converting blood sugar into energy and is involved in metabolic activities in the nerves, heart and muscles, and in the production of red blood cells. Each capsule contains 200mg thiamine, along with a full complement of B vitamins.

Clinical applications and deficiencies of thiamin

  • Nervous system: Confusion, irritability,constipation, memory loss, nervousness, numbness of hands and feet, pain sensitivity, poor coordination, weakness.
  • Gastrointestinal: digestive problems, loss of appetite.
