Talouleh is traditionally made with cracked wheat (Bulghur), but it can be also made with the gluten-free grain called quinoa. Here is a tasty variation to the traditional recipe.

Quinoa Tabouleh is a modern twist on the traditional Middle Eastern salad, offering a gluten-free alternative that’s just as flavorful and satisfying. Cook the Quinoa:

Cooking quinoa is simple and similar to preparing rice.

Start by rinsing one cup of dry quinoa under cold water to remove its natural coating, which can be bitter.

Next, add the quinoa to a pot with two cups of water, bring it to a boil, then reduce the heat to low.

Now, Let it simmer for about 20 minutes, or until all the water is absorbed.

Fluff it with a fork, and your quinoa is ready to be transformed into a delicious tabouleh.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups of cooked quinoa (from 1 cup of dry quinoa)
  • ½ cup parsley, chopped fine
  • ¼ cup of coriander, chopped
  • ¼ cup of mint leaves
  • 2 medium tomatoes, diced
  • 4 Tablespoons Olive oil
  • Himalayan Crystal Salt & Pepper to taste

Method:

Mix all the ingredients together and then transfer to a serving bowl,

Season to taste and Serve.

Seasoning with Himalayan crystal salt and pepper brings everything together, creating a well-balanced and nutritious salad.
